The reason I'm a lot less confident in the emergence of a 'Woke 2' is that corporations didn't even want to do Woke 1 but figured it would be more profitable, while corporations now very much want to be racist and homophobic and don't seem to care what effect that has on profits at all, anymore.
America's traditional lust for profit & greed was insulating to a point, its own stabilizing power structure that brought a warped sense of order to society, where everybody's money was worth seeking. Now, the ultra wealthy have increasingly chosen control over profits. Turns out, that's much worse.
