I really find those condescending "go sportsball" assholes to be quite distasteful but I must admit, if you in fact don't care about televised sports, weekends online can be quiet exhausting.

I don't follow professional sports and I have a lot of valid criticism of these big sports leagues (NFL, NBA, etc.) with the mistreatment of players, embracing gambling, and teams routinely screwing over cities, among others. Sports are fine, go watch sports.
There's a lot of people I follow who are real into various types of sportsball and I just kinda can't understand what they're saying as a result. Which is fine, not everything is for me but oh, to understand and be in that moment.
Ironically the sports I DO know something about are unpopular and not a camera event. There's no real structured ppv SCA fights for instance.
