The sidekicks are okay (I did NOT have Mr Terrific being the best character in the movie beforehand!) but all in all... nah, it just doesn't work that well for me. I also fear greatly what Batman will be in this universe/version. It's weird, because I'm a big big Gunn fan, but his lighthearted...

approach (like in Guardians) doesn't work with Superman. Superman is just too damn earnest and do-goody-two-shoes, and if you're going to try and set up this big internal "who am I, really?" conflict, the way they did it just doesn't work. It needs to be central to the story...

and instead it's resolved in about two minutes in a chat with pops. Anyway. Yeah, not crazy about it. I wasn't a huge fan of the Snyderverse, for that matter, but at least it kind of kept that broody darker tone and wasn't cluttered with a zillion "metahumans" with zilch for background.
