Go tell all the tenants in CA about how hard you worked to ensure they receive 10% rent increases every year, see what happens

You are living in a fantasy land. You think capping rent increases is the same as ensuring a fixed rent increase every year? Good luck being taken seriously.
What exactly do you think capping rent increases means there little Danny? Can you ask your daddy when he’s done paying your rent check?
I literally don’t know my dad you horse’s ass.
I mean someone’s paying your rent because no tenant alive is out here glazing for a 10% rent increase
since you clearly need help understanding the term: www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/c...
Who pays your rent, lil buddy?
Me, you absolute clown
I’m starting to think you might be one of those “every accusation is a confession” folk.
If you paid your own rent, you would not be out here glazing the 10% rent cap So who really pays your rent? Working class people cannot eat 10% rent increases, this isn’t hard to understand at all
You really think this line of questioning is owning me, don’t you.
It sets a maximum potential rent increase, whereas previously there literally was no maximum. By your logic, rent must have previously gone up infinity percent every year because there was no max? You do see how absurd your argument sounds, no?
You could just accept that 10% rent increases are absurd and contribute to people losing their housing
Something can be both better than it was and still need improvement. I personally advocated for repealing CH (though not with Weinstein’s language, which was nuts), and for building more housing in my neighborhood. Big fan of making 10% rent increases untenable for landlords.
You: big fan of the 10% rent cap! Also you: big fan of making the 10% rent cap untenable 🥴🥴🥴
learn to read: I’m a big fan of making 10% rent **increases** (not caps) untenable for landlords. Market power vs legal power. These are different things.
You have just told the world that you don’t understand what rent cap means…when we say cap the rent we are referring to annual rent increases There’s an entire campaign around this w/ the Keep LA Housed Coalition…try to keep up
is your reading comprehension really that bad?
Said the dude who just claimed that LA cannot expand its existing rent control ordinance to cap the rent at 3% Where do you even live that you felt the need to mansplain LA rent control to me?
This thread started because you were yelling at folk who want the same thing you want re CH, who literally went to Sacramento to advocate for repeal legislatively, all because they didn’t advocate for a shittier version of the repeal that would have been abused by NIMBYs You’re a know-nothing
The Apartment Owners Association shills do not want what I want
Yes I understand that you believe that sharing 80% of your opinions re housing makes me a horrible person and that you will (unfortunately) accomplish nothing because you have zero clue how to build a coalition.
I’m someone who has knocked on over 10,000 doors…you’re not an organizer so stfu
organizing is great. If only you didn’t actively shit on folk who are fighting for much of the same thing you’re fighting for.
Your stated goal of 0-3% LA-specific rent control is literally impossible until Costa Hawkins is repealed, and you’ve spent much of the last two days yelling at folk who are aligned with that goal. All for, what, internet points? Unhinged shit.
You can’t be serious bruh Look up the Keep LA Housed coalition You’re absolutely WRONG - the City of LA can expand its existing rent control ordinance in some ways, you’re embarrassing yourself
