I honestly don't think Vance can do it. He might get the tech weenies and the racist grandmas to follow him, but I think that there's going to be such an enthusiasm gap after trump that he wouldn't have the cojones to try any wild swings

My perspective for a while has been that Vance has the charisma and persuasiveness of a wank sock and cannot hold the party from turning on him and the others were he to find himself in power and certainly couldn’t command the same kind of blind loyalty. What exactly happens from there who knows
