It’s no different in DC. That’s why the DC Police Chief gladly accepted assistance from the NG. Denying there’s not a high crime problem in cities is idiotic. Don’t be that naive. Accepting that there is 10 to 20 shootings per week in cities is not what we want to portray to the world.

I’d assume it’s b/c LA isn’t our national capital. The way I see it if the state/city isn’t doing their job then the NG needs to get involved. I don’t care about the red or blue bullshit. I’m just tired of crime, murder, and lack of accountability. While politicians do nothing about it.

You do understand that Chicago is a City and LA is a state right? Can you give me a specific City/ Parish in LA where he should send them? I lived in southwest LA for a couple years post hurricane Laura for a couple years.
Also lived in DT New Orleans off North Claiborne for a year. I know LA very well, and I can tell you that it is not typical “red” state. The cities are ran by democrats. If your theory is correct, then neither POTUS or Speaker Johnson would an issue sending the NG to New Orleans.
