Why is this difficult for you to understand? You can burn any other countries flag, it’s a first amendment right of freedom of expression. What you can’t do is instigate hate by destroying a symbol of a marginalised group.

Just American politics and Americans in general. Republicans from 20 years ago are not the same Republicans today. The left have gone further left, especially on social issues and the right are flirting with authoritarianism and are willing to have troops turned against its citizens.

There is no Republican Party anymore, Trump killed it and Republicans turned to populism and identity politics. Liberal and Conservative ideologies, especially in the 60s are not the same ideologies in America today are they.
