When I filled out the paperwork for my drivers license I was excited that there was an option to list my gender as non-binary! So I’m a little disappointed they labeled me as male despite my selection. Would have been cool to have an official ID with it 🥲

I would think you’re in your rights to contest that and get your ID re-done They have you the option of NB, you should be labeled NB Hell, it might not be malicious just straight up clerical error, but it should be fixed either way
Yeah I don’t think it was malicious. I think they were just going off info from my old learners permit many years back

what the fuck??? why did it have the option if they weren't going to respect it. And if they didn't put down what you selected... how did they determine what TO put down? did they GUESS? that's an awful system if they just put down what they think you look like
It's so shitty. I actually experienced something similar when I signed up for my first state ID. I said I didn't want to be an organ donor because I'm one of the least healthy people I know, but they labeled me as one anyway. The DMV really sucks sometimes. ... most of the time.
