I was on my local county essential needs task force subcommittee this week and we had our state public service comm rep on explaining the utility cost increase process from start to finish. What a complete mess. I am not against complex things but it’s just too much and no one had questions.
Yup. I say 1) utility proposes X rate increase every yr & X is inflated b/c gotta have money to operate. 2) a year later, the actual costs are submitted and the utilities fight for every inflated penny. However, 3) Renewable energy not need to be inflated b/c solar/wind free! fuel price goes up
