I shovelled this morning already. There wasn't much snow, but it's always nice to be able to shovel in shorts and a t-shirt.

Winter doesn't even begin in winter. Riding 55 kms in a snowstorm is doable, if the coffee places are worth it, or just for giggles.
Tbh, dunking on someone for a four year old post feels not very Bluesky. Emmett said a dumb thing, yes, but I’m not sure I’ve seen him double down on it lately.
Not a dunk. Sitting on the Climate Advisory Group for Toronto It’s a useable & tangible example of misinformation that still used by elected official here in my very own city. “No one cycles in the winter so why should we prioritize infrastructure that isn’t going to be utilized.” #GoldenOldies
I do think what it does do perfectly is set a bar of what’s real, what isn’t and how within the urbanist community do we start to craft true form narratives to highlight climate change, prioritize the safety of vulnerable road users and decouple ourselves from car dependency. #TransformTO
Thank you! A good reminder to get my snowshoes out, I won't be able to leave my building without them soon. (A recent Star article pegged the average GTA commute at 35 minutes. I'm curious what the source is, but it's true that several 100,000s of people live in downtown TO.)
Thanks for the reminder Lanrick, I guess this is something I should teach at Kidical Mass rides
😁 Streets in march are often very bikeable. Plenty of snow at the hill because of snow making, not snow falls.
Too many Motorized vehicles being the biggest barrier to any expansion of cycling infrastructure. And motorized Vehicles are not the panacea either apparently.

I commute to work on my bike all year round. Easy peasy on studded tires and dedicated bike lanes!
LMAO that guy has some good points, some really bad points, but always very Loud points. Hope you can survive the next 8 months!
