The funniest part of Pocari Sweat is that, in my experience of drinking it on and off for over a decade living in Japan, it straight up tastes like sweat. So...truth in advertising I suppose.

It basically is sweat in terms of what it’s for, since sweat makes you lose a lot of salt and pocari replenishes a bunch of that + water

Yeah, but they don't try to hide it behind sweet flavor. It tastes like someone just wrung the sweat out of a marathon runner into a bottle and slapped a label on it.

It reminds me of gatorlyte, which is truly foul outside the specific circumstances it’s made for. I fear for anyone that drinks it casually 💀
