It is a gross misinterpretation to believe that the U.S. Government is comprised of 3 equal branches. The 3 branches of our Government are not equal, instead each has a separate set of powers and responsibilities that make each unique from one another.

Nor are they in competition with each other. Each fulfils there responsibilities and all 3 together for a single function government. To date this has been the most success form of government in history.

In the U.S.A., we have a very large number of successful business owners, most of whom are Republicans and who have the misconception that the President's relationship with the Government is equivalent to a business owner's relationship to his business. It is not.

In business, the owner has absolute authority, within the law to make decisions for that business. In large companies the owners do not make the day to day decisions that are required to run the company. Instead, they hire executives, directors and managers to do the day to day decision making.

These executives, directors and managers decision making is limited to the level of authority delegated to them by the owner. They make decisions that correlate with the dictates and policies of the business owner. If they do not respect the decisions and policies of the owner, they should be fired.

In business, we also have the concept of ownership thru inheritance, and the existence of a company being held as a Trust. This allows a business owner to set conditions that must be followed by all those who inherit the business.

In government, the Legislative branch is analogous to the business owner. It is congress that determines how the government will be run. It is Congress that creates, funds and determines the goals and methods of every Government department.

The President and his cabinet have the responsibilities, like a corporate executives, to manage these departments. But these departments must be run according to the dictates of Congress...the owners. The President and his cabinet have limited authority to make decisions as dictated by Congress.

Congress itself does not have absolute authority over government. The government is like a trust. The current congress must respect the authority and legacy of all previous Congresses. The first and most important legacy left by previous congresses is the U.S. Constitution.

It must be respected along with all other laws and acts of all previous Congress. The current congress does have the power to rescind the laws of previous Congresses and to amend the Constitution, but they must do so formally. They can not simply ignore that actions of previous Congresses.

The responsibility of the Judicial branch of Government is like a trustee that must insure that the legacies of all previous Congresses are respected by both the President and the current Congress. Laws created by the current congress may be overturned. Actions by the President stopped.
