I mean, Dem politicians have been going "We didn't go after immigrants hard enough." No, they're not the same, but it's like the right vs left wing of a uniparty. You can't blame people for iding that. You gotta blame your politicians for not actually repping people and push for a shift there.
Like 2024 showcased that. 2025 is showcasing it further with Dem popularity in the god damn toilet. The Dem stans JOB is to push their party to be desirable. Not to insist that it's fine as they f***ing suck so bad that *they can't beat an unpopular fascist*.
Popular policy is stuff like going after ICE, not sending weapons to Israel, medicare for all, a living minimum wage, etc. If your pick doesn't stand on that, then you either abandon them or YOU press them because they'll actively alienate voters otherwise.
You realize that everything you knock the Dems for not making stronger, are all now being completely deleted. The far left chose the destruction of programs they felt weren't being funded enough. And that there is the problem with them. They want the collapse. It's called accelerationism.
I'm a literal communist who has worked alongside dedicated anarchists and a diversity of other folk. Accelerationism is a fringe among a fringe of people. Usually among doomers and the not very active. Leftist understand that when you win things for people it acts as propaganda.

Part of the reason why active leftists oppose accelerationism is that they understand (or should understand) that it just leads to fascism. Fascists kill leftists of every variety.
Like the "Far left" hasn't had power in this country. DNC has fought like hell to make certain not even the center-left has had but a token presence in this country electorally. Neoliberalism (AKA, Reaganism) HAS had a grip on this country though.
Don't you realize that America will never be, can never be communist because it's incompatible with our constitution? If you want communism, you're going to have to find out somewhere else.
By the by, my understanding is that the Dem party is dead. It's headed for irrelevancy, and either we abandon ship or it's just the Republicans. If you want try to revive that corpse, this is *crucial* to doing so. I don't agree with the strategy, but I'm not here to stop you either.
