"as ppl were frustrated by limited progress." That's the idiotic irony here: If Democrats were as obstructionist as everyone wanted, then there would have been even *less* progress. Why does everyone keep bitching about getting exactly what they voted for? I'm never going to understand it.
Dems became rule followers, while the GOP broke every rule, norm, & cheated by gerrymandering & stolen SCOTUS seats to gain control. Dems were thwarted in the ACA in not getting costs down enough w/o a public option & were skewered by GOP lies about “death panels”. This is on US voters in the end!!
Yep, we voters intentionally sank the ACA by both voting for Scott Brown in a special election and voting for Joe Lieberman even after kicking him out of the Democrat primary. And instead of realizing our mistake, we doubled down on it by voting a Republican Congress which then stole a SCOTUS seat.
