Number 3 is starting to become the most eyes threatening to roll out the back of my head argument. Why do we need Democrats to nanny us through holding Republicans accountable? Why do we need Dems to tell us "hey dumbass, they suck, vote them out?" Are we really that lazy and dumb as a country?
Like, everybody has their "wishcasting Democrats should say" prescription I guess. Mine is a Democrat stands up and says, "These people you chose to vote in are destroying your country. Next time vote them out and never vote for them again until they learn to stop doing this to you".

We elected Donald Trump twice.
That tells me we want what's happening. 🤷♀️ Because Democrats literally spent the entire 2024 election cycle warning Americans left and right, and we voted for Trump anyway. So if actively seeing Republicans destroy things still isn't enough, that tells me welp, we still wanted this.
America needs to cure its obsession with adhering to Murc's Law or this country will never be fixed. And needing Democrats to nanny and babysit us just feeds that, where Americans are literally incapable of assigning agency to anyone other than Dem politicians.
Fascism has taken this country. The same old tactics won’t undo that. Most folks are not paying attention. Those in a position to do so need to GET their attention & get them to understand what’s happening. I’m the pain-in-the-ass always bringing this up in conversation, but I don’t hold office.

Another thing I'm tired of hearing. How Democrats are supposed to magically convince people who have zero buy-in to what Dems are saying, if not negative buy-in based on how they attack and twist everything Dems say. Communication is a two-way street. You can't talk to people who aren't listening.

"The same old tactics" is Americans refusing to listen to Democrats and bashing them 24/7/365. So Americans should switch up those tactics. Stop bashing Dems and start giving educated feedback, start listening to Dems, and start being more willing to address and criticize Republicans.
A Representative Democracy requires… representatives. Those seeking to lead subject themselves to public scrutiny. You disagree with my criticism of Dems. Whether on the merits or from a desire to limit negative discourse about Dems, I can’t really tell. Blaming voters is bad strategy regardless.
Refusing to blame voters and hold us accountable for our voting choices is literally how we ended up here, actually. Refusing to blame ourselves for constantly voting for Republicans and split government, and hold ourselves accountable for the results, is why we keep making bad choices.
This is what we did to ourselves for 45 years. How do we stop doing this to ourselves if we won't even admit it was us who did it to ourselves?
