Okay, I'll bite - what is "Abundance"? Because it kinda just looks like libertarianism, but now with "we'll all have a lot of stuff!". Was that the problem, that there weren't enough baseless promises that everyone could be rich without wealth needing to be redistributed?

Some book titled Abundance came out, and a lot of climate/transit policy folks I follow were like "ok, we shouldn't reflexively do degrowth, and it is ridiculous that we can't build a mile of subway for less than a billion dollars, but... your positive vision is Everyone Has A Cybertruck"

I think the Dems just like how it sounds. Republicans? They want Austerity! We want Abundance! It's some used country ass salesman type politics. It materially means less than "Hope and Change" because yeah, the Hope was false, but shit sure as hell got a lot worse after

I *think* so? But I've been hearing it in a political context lately, like "we should have more stuff" is a policy proposal of some sort.

It's basically rebranded trickle down. If we let the rich get richer, we'll all be better off. One of their primary proposals is to increase housing by giving subsidies to landlords and removing building codes.
