Oh man, I saw him recently at a convention, and he appeared to be in pain, but he was determined to be there until the show ended to meet as many fans as he could. I always loved his stories, both on the pages and off. Rest in peace, Jim.

What I got out of getting to know Jim these past few years: He was tough as shit. And I honestly think all the fans and interviews, and talking about the biz kept him around as long as we had him for.
