I think it's great! 😊 I believe something similar was done for the Wolfenstein 3D demo for Game Boy. Instead of drawing lines, entire tiles were swapped out. Movement is "chunky", but the framerate is impressively high. 😌 youtu.be/3uTkUN4nYM4

Wow, that’s amazing. I didn’t realize swapping tiles could make it run that smoothly… If I tried to do that in GBStudio, it would probably be too heavy to play properly.

In my video, I’m not swapping tiles but just replacing palettes. The tiles stay the same, so I can switch (what GBStudio calls) scenes seamlessly—meaning I can use even more palettes, which is the nice part!
