😆 I've only played Minish Cap. I always forget how much I enjoy it until I replay it. 🤔 Recently I struggle to play anything on the GBA or SNES due to just how compressed all the audio sounds. 😩

Rolan's Curse for #gameboy made the list! It's my most recent pickup for the console. I put off buying it for a long time because I just didn't "get" it. I thought it was a bad Zelda clone. It's not. 🤯 More like, Zelda plus Super Mario Bros mashed together. 🤔 I'm really liking it!

And no, Metroid: Samus Returns for the 3DS doesn't count as playing the second game in the Metroid series! 😉 The two games are extremely different, other than having the same basic premise.
Unlike the NES game that came out before it. I love it and have played through it many times, but I can agree THAT game does not hold up so well...
Metroid II: Return of Samus, for the original Game Boy. In my opinion it holds up incredibly well. If you enjoy the series but skipped it for whatever reason, please give it a try!

@sega-16.bsky.social I got a copy of Ms. Pac-Man for Genesis and it's amazing! ...but the controllers are driving me NUTS! 😤 My 3 or 6 (mode button held down) button controllers do SO MANY false directional inputs, 9 times out of 10 I die because I go the wrong direction. Do you have any advice?
My first was a used Dreamcast in the mid 2000s. My second? A Genesis II that I bought last year, and I love it!!! Favorite games are Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and TMNT Hyperstone Heist. Most recent game is Rocket Knight Adventures. 🤩
Oh man, I was in my 20s when that game came out and, for a long time, it was too much for me! I usually gave up right around that scene where the lights go out, about a third of the way into the game... 👀

Oof, I'm conflicted... On one hand, Zelda II is my absolute FAVORITE game to play in the series, and I've played through it countless times... ❤️ But on the other hand, I don't necessarily think it's a GOOD game, and I don't really recommend anyone actually play it... 😅

...I think that's all I got! Some other mentions: Fortified Zone, not a sidescroller, more like a top-down Contra game. You can swap between a man or woman character at any time. Metroid II: Return of Samus.
Rubble Saver, you play as a gun holding, mech suit wearing little girl saving her brother from aliens. But only in the Japanese version! For the western release they swapped it to the boy saving the girl. 🙄

😆 I'm sloooowly figuring out the enemy patterns. And this game has waaaay more hidden health powerups than I originally thought! They help a lot. And almost every screen has an item you can pickup and use as a projectile.

I've played through that so many times, it's so fun! I think it's easy for people to overlook but you're right, it's yet another outstanding Capcom / Disney game for the NES!

I played the demo a ton on the computer back in the 90s and LOVED it! I now have a copy for Sega Genesis and I still love it. 😍 Although I did have to look up a FAQ to learn about that weird "don't press any buttons to jump" jump needed at the beginning of stage 2. 😤

Holy crap. 🤯🤯🤯 How is it possible? I've only ever used two channels. C1 fades out as C2 plays the next note and vice versa. My best guess... using something like an arpeggio? As note 1 starts to trail off, the same channel will play the next note, then N1 quieter, then N2, and so on until it ends?

The second crime was the new, final section. It didn't fit thematically, it didn't fit the gameplay, the new final boss was easy, anticlimactic, and boring, and, in my opinion, the whole section wasn't fun at all.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's the favorite in the series for many people. 🙂 ...but personally I haaaate Zero Mission. 😕 It's biggest crime is destroying the atmosphere of the original and replacing it with comic book style art and cutscenes. I'd rather play the original any day. 😌

YES!!! I got into the Sega Genesis last year and this has been my favorite game! I also think it's more fun than the SNES game. I haven't been able to beat it on Normal or Hard mode yet. 😬
It was a launch title for the SNES, right? I played it for the first time a couple months ago and had a lot of fun with it! But wow, all that slowdown did NOT make the SNES look good. 😬
