Yes, very plausible. Maybe someday I'll try to match more of the gbdk lib to confirm. There was some discussion about Rhino Rumble, but can't remember the details. 2x speed on the GBC probably helped make gbdk more feasible and easier to crank out some of what might be shovelware in that set.
