Look at the demographics shifts in 2024. What did Trump do to improve his share of people of color so much? What did Kamala do (or not do) to lose them? Trump offered solutions -- evil, bad ones, but Kamala offered "not much different" than Biden. She lost the turnout and excitement.
I'm sure you know there was way more happening than "Harris is boring." Harris was hardly a clone of Biden, but she was not going to campaign against him. What did people like you offer that excited the electorate? Why if progressives were doing their jobs did so many "independents" stay home?

Part of the problem is how numbers are reported. I can easily look up the fraction of white voters who voted for Trump or Harris. But when I try to look up what fraction of Trump voters were white, I can't find that number. I'd have to reconstruct it.
Sometimes it is hard, I was working on some numbers a few weeks ago and it took hours to track down the right sources to find them. And they will use %s to make it even more difficult. %s make the sets of numbers sound equal to start with, but they aren't necessarily.
