wow! I don't think I've ever seen that. of course, it's been many years since I've seen a proper thunderstorm

You should move to Kansas.
Hasn't been ruled out
You could have a cow and some chickens.
Our neighbor here in town has chickens. I know because I hear them. And one big one got out and was running up the street. We calmed it down until her little boy could come collect his pet.
Reminds me of the time I chased a goat 🐐 down a street in Austin once.
Which street?
Harris Park Avenue, the 3200 block.
And why were you chasing a goat down Harris Park Ave?
You know, I really can't remember. I know the goat (it was a young goat) escaped from my neighbors' house, but I can't remember what it was doing there. But it escaped, and we chased it down the street and into my landlord's backyard. 1/
I think you remember the part that matters: chasing a young goat down a street in Austin. Most people have not done that
I seem to remember Bruce and Betsy (the neighbors) having a friend who worked with animals, maybe at a zoo or something, and that was why the goat was visiting. But he was successfully wrangled and returned to wherever he was before. Goats are nimble. 2/2
