Ridley Scott probably isn't as good as they were at the peak of their career but at least he's constantly going in different directions and trying for that same level of greatness in different ways— I think there's something really respectable about that
Yup. He's swinging for the fences, is old Rid. I'd argue that he's still stymied by issues he's faced throughout his career - adhd storytelling, visuals at the expense of all else - but you can't argue with the numbers. He shoots and the audience turns up.
Honestly, it's my lifetime goal to finish out my later years like Scott ... I want to die at some respectable old age in the wee small hours of the morning after a wrap party.
