Peterson also has some good things to say too. Just like Campbell, he stole them all from his contemporaries to write his books. Its the oldest move in the grifting world: You take good ideas, use them legitimize yourself then inject your own biases as payload to manipulate others.

Even Hitler did it. Go listen to his original speeches before he went completely war-whacky and genocidal. He sounds suprisingly level-headed, if somewhat misguided and its completely terrifying how well he hides. The trick is remembering bad people say what they need to get what they want.

I would argue that neither Hitler nor Peterson built off of good ideas. They both rode waves of disenfranchisement and gave people scapegoats for their problems. But yeah, like I said, I'll take a look at them when I'm not in debate mode, and am prepared to change my mind
