Probably the law firm the lawyer contact works for.
Probably the law firm the lawyer contact works for.
Correct. Contact is general counsel, works in the US. Associates in the company’s overseas offices are instructed to treat travel to the US the same as travel to China. Not immigration lawyers, corporate.
Got it. And it's just as scary as I feared.
Maybe but this would suggest they're outside the US and having to take precautions coming in? I guess I just don't understand the post, but I wanted to.

So when US citizens visit another country, they're being detained upon reentry when they return home. Most of the cases I've heard about this happening involved lawyers. The administration is exploiting this loophole to search lawyers' devices when they return to the US from an international trip.
Mainly immigration lawyers. As if they're trying to get es of their clients to deport them.

The corruption is the exploitation of this in order to locate immigrants to deport by searching devices of immigration attorneys.
The original post is in the country. pe posted about the dude saying we should have a citizen card because that would fix the problem… my reply is people who have a pssprt that literally says citizen on it that are still getting detained and questioned coming back in to the Cntry. Hope that helps.
It does, thanks. I have personal reasons for seeking clarity on this kind of post, so it matters to me, I'm not just nit-picking.
No worries =] I also have personal reasons so I don’t mind answering and clarifying.
