Setting aside the current fascist administration, the reason why the post-war US order worked was because they were all liberal democracies, with relatively similar political rights and socioeconomic values respecting free trade, free markets, etc. BRICS doesn't have that and never will.
Yeah, every authoritarian loser wants to join BRICS, it gives them the feeling of having allies. Yet most of their people would give a right hand to get to the EU, Canada, UK, etc. Wonder why? Cos BRICS doesn't mean anything except that Russia might sell you discounted oil. Not even that now.

Trade agreements without customs union, various tariffs, no unified regulation, issues with currencies (like two of them being kind of dominant and some not wanted by anyone). Face it, it's BS and they'd have the same trade down to a cent if they weren't in BRICS.
Not to mention China net positive trades are 99% US, EU, UK, and in uncomparably higher volumes than BRICS and even RoW combined (1% of China export profits)
