The only problem I ever had w Caltrain was when someone committed suicide or crashed on the tracks (because we're a 3rd world country that hasn't separated rail from other traffic). But that's just a long ass sit as opposed to the snarled MAYHEM of the Bay area 101.

My office looked over a blind curve on the 101/84 and I watched accidents happen all week long. Hell, despite knowing about it, I almost crashed in the same exact spot on a few occasions because it's just so hopelessly dangerous.

Caltrain's quiet trauma vs. 101's daily chaos.

One of the coolest things about Twitter was the Caltrain hashtag that allowed the riders to let each other know when a train was delayed. Before that we'd just sit on the tracks or at a station cuz Caltrain (understandably) couldn't tell us what was up.
