He’s one of the very few NeverTrumpers I actually think is acting in good faith, but everything he advises reminds me of those studies about how people think they won by being better players even after being told a game was rigged in their favor.

Oh and he is on a ton of blocklists too, for transphobia among other things. So... He has no good faith.

Again tho, Republicans have always had awful policies. Nevertrumper, sure, but I am sure he still wants less regulations, lower taxes for the rich and most likely also heavily in favor of more cops and more privatization across the board.

Some clarification: I think he genuinely believes Trump is bad and wants to defeat him, whereas I think most of the Lincoln Project set is looking to diversify their grift and/or pull the Democratic Party to the right. This is different from saying he’s not bad for other reasons!
