I have lived in some really bad neighborhoods in my life when I was going to school and one thing they had in common is exactly what you said. You show up badgeless in unmarked cars it will end bad for them. There are people in those neighborhoods who have been to jail and it is nothing to them.
There’s places in Houston they won’t go WITH badges.
