Somehow we need to build a left-leaning financial holding company that is capable of owning a successful publication that speaks truth to power... without selling itself off to be lobotomized at the first offer of big cash. A dilemma.

Thanks! Wasn't aware of that part of the Guardian's history. I've sold stories to a Conde Nast magazine. That was long ago, but it still reminds me how much better markets once were. It sickens me to think of corrupt billionaires gaining control of more and more of our media.

Teen Vogue is currently one of the best sources of political information and analysis. I got my daughter a subscription when she was 14 (2018) because it openly discusses sex, reproduction, government, and political issues of importance to women.
