Except that's not so-called AI. That's a dedicated computer chip reading a light meter. Auto-focus is somewhat complex, but basically uses a computer chip which looks at the image for a straight line. If the line is out of focus, it focuses your camera with electromechanical servos.

It's more Intelligent than I am, and not organic, so I'd include it in 'artificial' computations. I can do it the fully manual way with film by eyeballing much more slowly.
