Isn’t this a culinary version of how Facebook started?
Isn’t that just OG Facebook for restaurants?
And yet I can’t look away
For the generations brought up on the paradigm that acceptance by your peer group is paramount, this is a useful resource.
Do the customers live there?
Ever seen Facebook?
Don’t the restaurants have ac?
Oh, come now, Kai. Surely you've seen Tommy Tuberville and Lauren Boebert.
This is Facebook’s legacy.
In Trump’s shallow world this rating system makes sense
Seen stupider. But Top 5 Stupid for the Newspaper of Record
Give it a few hours, The NY Times will come up with something worse.
22 year old programmer an AI trying to make a comment on society using tech and not hitting the mark…
Imagine if you had to report on this type of fecal matter
At first I thought, well...it might be nice to know which restaurants have good AC with this weather.
See, that would be useful. Big no-no in today's economy.
You've been married a long time
Where's that asteroid when you need it
Personally I don't need air conditioning everywhere I go. This map would help me choose a place to eat on a very hot day. Clearly it shows the locations without AC. Why else would people be hot?
Can we have a map of restaurants that are owned by and/or frequented by Republicans, so we can avoid them?
This looks like a map of where to find terrible food and terrible people in the same place.
This sounds like Mark Zuckerberg's Facemash.
A bright, cynical, young man starts with an idea he thinks is amusing and ridiculous, and ends up profiting from other’s stupidity and superficiality. I guess this is how you slip on a banana peel and end up on the dark side.
Stupid values hot a lot.
I stand by cancelling my subscription years ago.
Well…. Have you listened to congress lately? But yep- it is a sign of our moronic priorities. Of course, I feel like that this every time I look on Apple news and see some comment about a kardashian right next to political news. I just rewatched “Broadcast news” - it was great. very prophetic.
I can’t trust this coming from a hot guy, Kai. Sit this one out for someone impartial sir.
It's like when Facebook started...
Hyperbole = funny. I would just add the stupidiest FUCKING thing.
So dumb... Just stupid... I mean, I just have to see it to mock it more... I love it.
This is a map of where I would have spent my money when I was younger, and my friends too. It’s an economic tool. Stupid, sure, but I don’t think it’s the stupidest.
To be clear, I’m saying we would have followed the hot people looking for girls. Not that we were somehow shifting the ratings.
It's possible you/my friends and I were shifting the ratings in the wrong direction
Laughed so hard my cat freaked out and fell down the stairs
Isn't this the natural outcome of Facebook's original mission? Zuck appears to have spawned a map.
Even further back - Hot or Not from yr 2000
Ah, the mental reach of the Person with a Memory. A 2-point play. I'd have awarded you three, if you had brought up the even more ancient and analogue guidebooks of the 'City Secrets [City Name]' genre. Thank you for playing. 😁
I have a good memory for useless stuff. Occasionally, it comes in handy!
Me too! I like to believe that there is a firm and large line between "head full of trivia" and " trivial mind," and I will hold on to that belief with both hands.
I like how you think, and I’m a horse & dog woman too! But just dogs now really, I moved & left riding 2 yrs ago, too old to take it back up now (adult learner)
I keep believing it's a lifetime sport. My hips argue otherwise, but that's why Ibuprofen was invented. 😹
As Global Warming impacts every aspect of life, especially with AI consuming huge amounts of energy, the term "Hot" will revert back to it's original meaning.
Return to the Social Network.
I haven't reviewed their data, but I'm just going to say it -- I am absolutely certain that their metrics are bullshit. Also. Excessively stupid. Who, other than a ridiculously tiny subset of overly thirsty cave dwellers, would pick a restaurant based on this map?
It is basically FaceBook for restaurants, no?
This is just a map of restaurants @catto-almighty.bsky.social has eaten at
Incorrect. I’ve eaten at maybe a couple restaurants in New York. Try again
This would have been perfect for April 1st.
I’d call that prepubescent silliness based solely upon the small brains below the belt stimulation.
Isn’t this sorta how FB started?
Add that to the 3000 reasons this long time subscriber doesn’t subscribe to the @nytimes.com any longer.
I bet you thought we'd make better use of the internet than sharing cat videos too. ;) Where did we go wrong, Kai? (sigh)
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is gonna cause the restraints to have hot sections and ugly sections.
I was going to correct, but I think I like it better as is.
yeah, I can't argue with the misspelling either.
That’s because I’m pretty sure there are more stupid people than not
...so far.
Early days...early days.
Stupid and shallow
I mean it’s ridiculous…. But the dumbest? Not even I if I just think about today’s news.
