My question is who is tracking the tariff income and where exactly is it going? Seeing as this is essentially a new tax, is the paper trail as detailed and thorough as it should be? I wouldn't be surprised if some of it was finding it's way into political slush funds and Trump's pockets.

I don’t recall “the experts” saying tariffs wouldn’t raise revenue. I recall them saying that the countries the products are coming from don’t pay them and that ‘We the People’ ultimately pay them, either through increased prices or decreased profits. I wonder why Charlie didn’t mention that?
