Had a bud in MA to do work on equipment. Had to go to “Pibidy”, pre-smartphones. Finally called the customer saying he was lost. Where are you, they asked. Peabody. You’re in Pibidy!

I lived in NH for a bit, just across the state line with MA. My sister, a known giggler, caused me great mortification when she completely lost control at a local’s recommendation to shop at Restoration Hardware in Pibidy. To the day she died, if you mentioned that city, she was a goner.
