Why isn't he asking why so many people live in poverty? What is wrong with Republicans?
Why isn't he asking why so many people live in poverty? What is wrong with Republicans?
Nothing. Their sole function is to funnel wealth and power to the wealthy and powerful. That's it. Everything around us in this newly hatched dystopia is to further that goal.
This!
And also where. Most people in need are from red states. (I’m generalizing, I know)
Hahaha, you think my red state expanded medicaid?
Like I said, I’m generalizing on red states being far too dependent on federal aid.
Yessss, Republican explain what’s wrong with you?
Exactly.
much shorter list: What is NOT wrong with Republicans?
😄
😹
Exactly! How can we fix folks living in poverty. Maybe TAX THE RICHEST and offer education opportunities and jobs.
And even if you're a little bit above poverty that doesn't mean healthcare in the US is affordable in the slightest. All Senators and Reps should have to use the shittiest marketplace plan in available in their State.
Why aren’t Dems asking why there are so many poor people or why healthcare is so expensive? It’s not just MAGA. Dems scrubbed “universal healthcare & public option” from their 2024 platform in exchange for “access” to unaffordable healthcare. What the Dem proposal for better/cheaper healthcare?
Not saying the Democrats aren't also bought and paid for by billionaires, and they for sure turned their back on a winning platform, taking care of working people, just look at NYC.
You know why they did? Because they ran on it for decades, and when they got close to passing it, they got crushed in the midterms. Even Biden discussing a public option didn’t drum up enough public support. A majority of voters chose to gut government spending.
Because Democrats have terrible messaging and campaigns. They are fundamentally incapable of capitalizing on popular issues. From 2009 www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...
If most people support a public option, why were Democrats crushed in the 2010 midterms as backlash to the possibility of the ACA providing a public option? Why did more people who swung for Trump believe that Harris would pass M4A than those who swung for Harris?
I think what you have to understand is that, when asked on a survey, many people reflect upon its benefit to them. This is how they SHOULD approach policies, but they don’t. Because all it takes is for Republicans to talk about how non-white people would benefit more to get these people to flip.
I’m with you all the way on this one. Republicans are gutting Medicare and the minority party should have done something or something else but why didn’t they do it?
Because they don’t have the votes? You need 60 senators to override the filibuster, and 50 senators to eliminate the filibuster (which Sinema and Manchin objected to). The closest they got to a public option was in 2009, and they literally got crushed in the midterms because of it.
Because they fundraise off the anger from sustained mediocrity. It’s not a serious party.
It's a billionaire captured party, just like all of our government institutions. They are controlled opposition.
The vapid Dem leadership is compromised of wealthy white seniors who have absolutely no idea what it’s like to work & raise a family in the 21st century.
Most Democratic leadership isn’t white lol. The majority of the DNC leadership team is non-white. democrats.org/leadership-d...
Pelosi, Schumer, Reid were most certainly white.
I said a non-white majority, not consensus.
No, it’s that you don’t understand what the filibuster is.
Reconciliation avoids the filibuster.
Reconciliation means expanding existing federal funding. A universal healthcare system would require a termination of Medicare and Medicaid as federal programs, which is not permitted under a reconciliation bill.

Correct
they think it is our own fault.
This
They assume it's obvious - they are lazy and deserve it! Fox said so!
Their first priority is is it sadistic enough. The GOP is a mafia of pain inflicting perverts.
It gives them boners
Because then he would be forced to discuss social issues and those require constructive and critical thinking skills.
He’s a sociopathic piece of shit?
