We aren’t crazy.

The thing that gets me is that people say we have the best coach and that the talent is there. Maybe. All I see is an attacking group that has zero chemistry and nobody to connect the back to the front quickly.

Who says the talent is there? Maybe WAA will blossom and that will wake up Gazdag, but right now without Nagbe we are lost and incapable of playing Nancyball. We've gone from winning playing beautiful soccer to not winning but playing beautiful soccer to not winning and not playing beautiful soccer.

Gazdag really does not fit in this attack. I could see him having potential in midfield though. I really think this team is not far off being dangerous again. However, we need someone who’s willing to take on players, and stretch the field. We simply aren’t dynamic anymore.

He takes zero risks. For all that talk about Nancy wanting players to reach beyond themselves, Gazdag has done nothing to show that applies to him.

I definitely get that, but I also think Gazdag has never been much of a creator or risk taker. He doesn’t have the pace or skill to really take players on. He’s been pretty good at retaining possesion which might make him better suited for playing deeper.

Also his game is all about off the ball movement, and I think he would find himself more space if he could make late runs in and around the box.
