Everyone who says “EVs are expensive” compares high end luxury models with basic gas cars. Is is true that basic EVs are rare but the Chinese are going to change that(which is another problem)

Those two vehicles aren’t competitive. The Mustang Mache E is a class above. I would consider the Escape to be a competitor of the Hyundai Kona EV though. It starts at $33k.

Yeah, picking a carmaker incapable of releasing any new EVs after a half decade and lighting $22B on fire is an indictment of Ford's incompetence, not a reflection on the EV industry. Thankfully other automakers have tons of options, and actually build them in the U.S. with high U.S./CAD parts!
