EXCEPTIONS! I Will Be Doing An Executive Order To That End!!!” We know Trump is still stuck on his 2020 loss, but election laws are controlled by the states, and an executive order on this has no real force. At the end of the day, it’s just a piece of paper with no real meaning.

EOs are not law. States can ignore them.

Which is why he’s working himself up to throwing a war, putting on a domestic terrorist event (that assassination theaters worked so well for him he loves it now) and calling out his domestic red dogs to start biting their blue neighbors. He will pull out every tactic to stay in power.

Remember these seditious MAGA Republicans who voted to overturn the election in 2020... Some Republicans accept the election outcomes in 2020 and congratulated Former Pres. Biden and VP Harris! Thank you, Reps. Cheney and Kinzinger for defending democracy and putting the country over party!

Sadly, that should be true for many of his EO's. EO are NOT law. However, the GOP sycophants won't push back on TACO's power over-reach. That's why we're in this nightmare $hitshow administration. 🤬

We know that. But I'm guessing he's going to announce that votes from blue states no longer count if they don't meet his standards, and the media will go, "Um, gee, can he do that? Gosh, the constitution doesn't say."

That’s all most of his executive orders are, it’s just that people are stupid enough to think that he has all that power because they’ve never picked up or read the Constitution.

Controlled by states like North Carolina, whose Republican-majority legislature is trying to change the rules in their favor?

Try critical thinking. Yours is the voice of privilege. What about those who can’t get or replace ID or vote in person due to cost, disability, lack of transportation, children to care for, jobs they can’t take time off from, etc.? That’s what AI saying.

Exactly. That one comment that implied that we shouldn’t trust what the AI said about voter ID when, in fact, it was accurate.

So is any research paper done by actual people. Relying on AI for all your answers makes you dumb.

So provide us with research that proves it wrong. Even the extreme far right Heritage Foundation couldn’t find any need for voter ID.

That’s both a very uneducated response, and not what either I or the OP posited. It’s also a distraction from the real point about the new red lines that the GOP are trying to use legislate racism into law.

I keep finding some variation of “maybe” if overused. That’s true of any technology. The invention of books caused us to be dumber because we don’t memorize things any more. The invention of adding machines caused us to be dumber because most people don’t do complex math in their heads any more.
