I see Jen Hatmaker’s previous books at work often. They could be lumped with any other evangelical white woman’s books. 2016 pushed her away from the doctrines she was raised to believe, and in 2020 her pastor husband pushed her even further away when he cheated on her.
I ran out of space but this interview is great and the questions and responses are all thoughtful. I’ve known a few ex-evangelicals and I always think their journey is fascinating and I’m sure, difficult.
I am really looking forward to reading her upcoming memoir. Like the more I learn about her the more interesting and relatable I find her to be.
