Personally, I would happily take the piss. A precedent has to be set so managers don’t act the way Glasner did again! I’d love for him to find his way back to Anfield in any case, he’s a quality player looks like he’d fit in the group really well too.
I do agree that it’s an opportunity to bid less but you just know other top teams home & abroad will be sniffing which is my rationale for keeping the same deal alive. There’s not many like Guehi out there. A top defender, a top human being. Can see him replacing VVD imo.
Oh yeah, if we have to compete with other clubs then fair enough. But if we don’t, we can hit back and take Guehi for peanuts. See how Glasner feels then.
