the thing about public school is that it is the only type of school that teaches kids how to live in the real world. but we're ruining that.

I don’t know if they have buses though? We do. My kid takes the city bus all the time.

I read a sociologist who advocated for the return of the draft and mandatory military/public service because it forced different racial, religious, and socio-economic groups (to some degree at least) to work closely together.
