There were a lot of shared Latin origins but also a few Irish words that more or less corresponded to English measurements.

Also, the Roman mile didn’t get much use in Ireland, interestingly.

That is interesting. Now that I think of it, I don't immediately recall Old English using it a lot either. Distances were "a day's travel" etc. I never thought about that!
