Do the right thing, and the right people will follow. Appeal to the wrong people and what do you get?
Exit polls have reliably shown a lack of "checked out people" in the last 3 presidential elections. If we're talking about winning elections, it's not about the "unmotivated" or "undecided voter" that doesn't actually exist. It's about getting the base to get off their ass & voting.
seems you're wrong, yougov polling this morning is showing ~20% of respondents "don't know how to feel" about marines being deployed for protests, that's a sizeable amount of swayable people
Single issue polls on a topic that will have about as much relevance in 2028 as January 6th had in 2024. They do not tell you anything about the "swayability" of people come election time.
Roughly 20 million registered voters didn’t vote in 2024 - thus not captured in exit polling. Whether you want to acknowledge this or not doesn’t mean these people don’t exist in a meaningful way.
Polling, both leading up to the election & at the exits, strongly indicate that many of those non-voters weren't "undecided centrists", but rather people on the left & right who weren't motivated to vote. More so those on the left.
Why would Latinos vote for Democrats who ask them to put away their flags when they're under attack? People know when they're being used.
I guess I’m just confused on how are you getting a take on non-voters from exit polling when an exit poll is polling how people voted
If you want to only pander to the idiots of society, go join the Republican Party. Anyone with half a brain can see the logical route from large hispanic, specifically Mexican immigrant community -> waving mexican flags despite being in the US. Not hard to follow unless you're dumb.
