I think they think it actually helps them! That Americans like this muscular display of raw power. And they’re so convinced about Trump Derangement Syndrome they’re convinced Dems will overreact and alienate voters. They are wrong.

Commenters on aggregate news sites such as MSN and Yahoo are, indeed, showing up in support, saying things like "judges can't break the law!" and other asinine hot takes. It's disturbing but not unexpected that there are stupid people and bad actors pushing this narrative.
