Finally last post: didn’t the Supreme Court say the AEA cases “sounded” in habeas? NILC should probably ensure they are filing in a jurisdiction where one of the children is actually held.
millifisense.bsky.social (@millifisense.bsky.social) reply parent
6 USC 279, which calls for ORR to help reunite children with a parent abroad in appropriate cases was enacted as part of Homeland Security Act of 2002. 8 USC 1232 is the TVPRA- a later-enacted statute.

Dems should just start funding independents in order to get these lunatics out. Whatever it takes. The Dems’ fundamental inability to understand this and do Something! Anything! in fact contributes to my first point

As bad as these trumpets are (and they are bad) people perceive Dems as worse. I hear it from my own relatives. I don’t like Trump, in fact I really dislike him but I can’t vote for a dem. They’re deluded, overly idealistic and have their heads (somewhere ill say in the clouds)
millifisense.bsky.social (@millifisense.bsky.social) reply parent
And they go out with their friends at night, don’t have to worry about paying for college, don’t have to worry as much about retirement, live in walk ups often without air conditioning, use hot water bottles to warm them in the winter etc etc. it’s good and bad. But it results in skinniness
millifisense.bsky.social (@millifisense.bsky.social) reply parent
Honestly this is why Dems should right now start exploring ways of discouraging young men from voting. That their votes don’t matter. Epstein and Medicaid cuts are a good place to start. There’s a global elite, trumps in on it, and nothing you do can change that.

We need to harness RFRA for abortion clinics. Plenty of religions believe they have a religious duty to prioritize the health (physical and mental) and life of the mother, especially a mother that already has children, and especially in the first trimester.

Also from WSJ: Publicly held federal debt stands at about $29 trillion, nearly double the level when Trump and Republicans passed the 2017 tax law. Nearly $1 in every $7 the U.S. spends goes toward paying interest, more than the country spends on defense.
millifisense.bsky.social (@millifisense.bsky.social) reply parent
Every time you talk about this bill please talk about how much is not paid for. From WSJ: The current proposal would increase projected budget deficits by nearly $3 trillion through 2034, locking in tax cuts and spending increases that outweigh reductions in spending
