all this flag shagging stuff has got me thinking about where me and Nur can run off to where she hopefully won't be the victim of abuse in the near future. it's definitely coming round here. there's literally nowhere we could go, is there? everyone's poor, everyone's angry, everyone's racist.
Nur was born in London and has Malaysian Indian heritage, so she doesn't stick out as someone from a Muslim family, but i reckon that won't matter soon enough and that we're less than 12 months away from someone calling her a Paki in the street. and there's nothing we could do in that moment.
just can't think of anywhere in the UK, Europe, or the rest of the world where me and Nur won't eventually face some kind of discrimination or racism for having a mixed marriage. even a percentage of intermarried Jews started getting sent to death camps in 1945. we're at the 1930s appeasement stage.

It fills me with rage that beautiful people because of their race/gender etc are subject to the abuse you allude to. Scotland might not be the worst but we're far from immune. Our First Minister's decision to welcome serial misogynist/rapist Trump with open arms is part of the problem 😡
yeah i think about moving north of the border quite a lot but unless we were right in the centre of Glasgow/Edinburgh we'd be facing similar issues. we'll be alright here for the time being but it's weird to think we're in a world where Avoiding Racism has become a prerequisite for where we live.
