I guess someone recently found and scanned the old 90s magazine that it was in? (attributed to PC Format, July 1995, issue #46) Not inconceivable; a lot of stuff from that era was never archived electronically. Passes the smell test, at least.

Facebook didn't exist in 1995, so yes, we're talking about the original source. Like I said, it passes the smell test -- these kinds of "celebrities like technology too!" profiles were super popular then. (Source: was a nerd in the 90s.) If it makes you happier to assume it's fake, then do so.
