No, to be a Liberal and I'm a dead serious economic Liberal not a social Liberal it is a requirement to support and encourage Democracy. You need laws to protect the vulnerable and a strong elected government.
so lets take this at face value. youre an economic liberal. to what extent should workers have actual control over their working conditions, workplace, and wages, versus the control held by their employer? when answering, do those answers strike you as democratic?
The workplace is not the government and the answers to that would change from me from industry to industry. What I am is not complicated look at European modern economics and tax rates. That's about as close to what I want to see as you can get.
and yet the workplace is where we spend most of our waking hours. If you work in an authoritarian high-control environment, that isnt magically somehow not your life. As for the government, you dont really believe in democracy there either. Do you think people should have a specific voice in 1/2
each specific policy? or do you think they should have to settle for voting only for a representative with whom they agree only sometimes? The latter is not democratic, it is literally and specifically an obstacle to democracy while masquerading as such
