As I said, countries are required to agree to adopt the Euro, but aren’t being forced to actually replace their currency with it. However, the issue which reform & the RW media would seize on is the agreement to adopt the Euro. Anything beyond that is irrelevant.

Then counter with facts not hyperbole. Personally, I would be content to adopt the Euro. Loss of the un-elected head of state's picture on our currency would be an added bonus.

I am countering with facts, that they are inconvenient for you position doesn’t make them hyperbole. I would be fine with the Euro too, but the point is that we don’t represent the majority at present.

I am happy with facts but read the full statement. Given the larger number of people expressing Brexit as a mistake, I would not leap to the conclusion that we are in the minority.

Seeing that Brexit was a mistake is not the same as being prepared for the required compromises to rejoin though. I’m happy to agree that the majority see it was a mistake & that just over half of people would conceptually like to rejoin. But there’s huge variation once they’re asked about details.
