A strong point but it didn't feel like it at the time; surely somebody influential would have raised this (although the tories backed Bush all the way). Didn't Harold W keep the UK out of Korea at the height of the Cold War?
No, we were in Korea I thought? We kept out of Vietnam, but I think the issue was more financial and that was (initially) less a war than a police action which escalated.
